The Reality of Strategic HRM

Strategic human resource management has been a topic of interest to educators for centuries. But how effective is it in real life? How much education can this business learn? Before answering these questions one can shed light on the rationale of strategic human resource management which serves as the basis for adopting and implementing procedures for managing the employees of the organization and which serves as the basis for working in the changing conditions of the organization and for the long term. It is also important to keep in mind that strategic human resource management will only become real when it generates action responses that may be considered strategic and may be considered holistic or specific strategic use for human resource managers. Below is a model that shows that strategic human resource management is both a human resource strategy and a strategic management activity for human resource managers. One has to choose between the strategic role and strategies of human resources and this selection has to be made based on strategic analysis.
