Definition of Stress

STRESS 1Stress has been defined as the interaction between in individual and the environment characterized psychological and psychological changes that cause a deviation from normal performance. There are three level of stress as follows:

a. High level stress: Led poor performance
b. Moderate level stress: Help stimulate employees to work longer, harder and better.
c. Low level stress: It leaves employees unstipulated, resulting in low productivity.

Stress has both internal and external factor. Internal factors are: personal attitude and expectations. External factors can be divided into two types – a) physical: It includes poor ventilation or lighting or physically demanding tasks. b) Psychological: includes demand of the job or demands from home.
