Green HR is the use of HRM policies to promote the sustainable use of resources within business organizations and, more generally, promotes the cause of environmental sustainability.

Green HR involves two essential elements:
 Environmentally-friendly HR practices
 The preservation of knowledge capital.

Today, Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) has become a key business strategy for the significant organizations where Human Resource Departments play an active part in going green at the office.

Green Human Resources Management (GHRM) refers to using Human Resources Management (HRM) practices to reinforce environmental sustainable practices and increase employee’s commitment on the issues of environmental sustainability.
