The Strategic Role of HR Manager

The main task of a human resource manager is to strengthen the relationship between employer and employee. He defines the workplace strategy and the action process required for the organization’s goals. Human resource managers need to be skilled and knowledgeable in every aspect of human resources. The strategic role of a human resource manager is highlighted below:

1) Workplace Safety and Risk Management: Care should be taken to ensure that there are no unnecessary hazards or obstacles in the workplace. To keep the workplace safe, the strategic role of every human resource manager must first be to keep the workplace safe in such a way that no one gets into an accident or gets injured while going to work. This will save the organization from possible losses. Employees do not have to pay compensation. As a result, a lot of money of the organization will be saved. Employees need to be properly trained to operate complex equipment. Then accidents will be reduced and safe working environment will be maintained in the organization.

2) Salary and wages and benefits: The reputation and status of an organization largely depends on the salary and wage structure formed for the employees. In addition, the decision of the Human Resource Manager regarding the pay scale and benefits to the employees affects the job satisfaction of the workers and the hiring of meritorious workers by the organization. Evaluation of work, labor market situation, shortage of manpower and budget constraints should be considered before formulating a strategic plan to provide salaries and wages and benefits to the workers.

3) Training and development of employees: The strategic role of human resource manager in training and development of employees plays a role in shaping the future workforce of the company. Apart from this, the role of human manager also falls under the issues of pre-planning (Jhampapabangarah Chasdhah), promotion, performance appraisal etc. Training and development undoubtedly motivates employees and they stay in the organization.

4) Staff recruitment and selection: Staff recruitment and staff selection work is related to the staff. The strategic role of the human resource manager is to coordinate or combine the elements of employee relations and employee recruitment and selection. Recognizing employees’ work is a great way to motivate employees through promotion.

5) Employer-Employee Relationship: Many human resource managers believe that strengthening the employer-employee relationship completely reassures the human resources department about the employee. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. Such as- salary, benefits, security, training and staff development etc. So in each case, maintaining a working relationship is a key element of human resource strategy.

The implementation of the workplace inspection process and the implementation of fair and transparent employment policies are the two main components of the employee relations program. The strategic role of the human resource manager is to identify and resolve various issues in the field and to attract different types of applications for smooth recruitment and selection process.
