Write a thank-you email your interviewer

Youโ€™ve just finished an interview for a job opportunity youโ€™re really excited about.

At this time, most of the candidates either wait for the interviewer’s response or start following up later.

But before anything else, one most important step is sending a thank you email after the interview.

One study found that only one out of four candidates sent a thank you message after their interview, yet 80% of HR managers said those messages were helpful when reviewing candidates.

So, when you write a thank-you note after an interview, you gain yet another opportunity to influence your potential employer’s decision by reiterating.

And more than that itโ€™s a gesture that reinforces your interest in the role, while also showcasing good manners.

Here are some important factors to consider before sending a thank you email:

๐Ÿ“Œ Write a straightforward subject line like โ€˜Thank you for interviewing me this morning.โ€™
๐Ÿ“Œ Address the person who interviewed and make sure to spell their name correctly.
๐Ÿ“Œ Your email should be short, sincere, and sent within 24 hours of your interview.
๐Ÿ“Œ Express your continued interest in the job opportunity.
๐Ÿ“Œ Thank the person for their time and consideration.
๐Ÿ“Œ Inquire about the next steps.
๐Ÿ“Œ Provide contact info.
